Financial Education

At Hursthead Junior School, we were proud to have earned the Centre of Excellence Award in Financial Education in 2019, sponsored by the charity Young Money. Young Money and Young Enterprise are two charities which have merged to ensure that their work reaches even more young people across the country, with the aim of supporting children to learn essential life skills like money management and entrepreneurship.  We teach a range of engaging and inspiring financial education lessons as part of the PSHE curriculum, which help children to understand the value of money and the importance of saving and donating, as well as careful budgeting. This year, we are working with a consultant from Young Money to earn our reaccreditation.
